In memory of the life and achievements of Dr Martin Luther King there will be an unveiling of the MLK Memorial Monument (rescheduled from August due to Hurricane Irene) on October 16th, 2011 in Downtown Washington DC on our National Mall.

Rev Al Sharpton is a part of this special day and has encouraged listeners to join in a march from the Lincoln Memorial to the New MLK Memorial Monument on the 16th.

The “Healthy, Wealthy & Wise” Expo will take place on Saturday, July 23rd in the Old Dominion Building at the Richmond Raceway Complex from 12pm-6pm. Featuring Donna Richardson Joyner, CoCo Brother, Jonathan Nelson, LaShun Pace, and “Da Twins” Nell & Nique. We will have guest speakers including Dr. Lance Watson, Senior Pastor of Saint Paul’s Baptist Church. Dr. Kita Williams from the MCV Neurology Department speaking on Stroke Awareness. Pastor Tyrell Brown from Morning Star Baptist Church and Dr. Steve Parson, Pastor of the Richmond Christian Center.  Tevera Stith, college counselor at St. Paul’s School for Girls in Maryland will also speak and Kemel Patton will lead a dance class during the expo to jump start your physical health!
